Mid-America Economic Development Council Board of Directors Call for Nominations

All Mid-America EDC members from the above-listed state are encouraged to consider self-nominations to serve as a Board member to assist Mid-America EDC in its mission.  Mid-America EDC members are also encouraged to nominate qualified and motivated nominees from the above-listed state.

Board Members are expected to attend monthly board of directors conference calls and attend the two in-person Board Meetings held before each of Mid-America EDC’s two annual conferences (Best Practices and Competitiveness conferences). Additionally, attendance is expected at Mid-America EDC’s annual board of directors strategic planning meeting held each September.  Board members are also expected to volunteer/serve on Mid-America EDC committees.

Every nominee must be a member in good standing of Mid-America EDC and must be willing to serve a 3-year term beginning January 1, 2022 (maximum is two 3-year terms).

Nomination Procedure:

• Self-nominate or obtain consent from the person that you wish to nominate.
• Email your nomination to Tracey@assnoffices.com no later than August 13, 2021. Please include information specifying your interest in a self-nomination or reasons for the nomination of another individual.  Please include/attach the nominee’s professional resume in your email.  Please also include history in the field of economic development, as well as the nominee’s current position.

The credentials of each nominee will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee.  The nominating committee will verify with each nominee their intent/commitment before placing their name on the final slate of officers to be approved in December 2021 at the Annual Business Meeting.
