Founded in 1941, Dairyland Power Cooperative provides the wholesale electrical requirements and other services for 24 member distribution cooperatives and 27 municipal utilities in the Upper Midwest. In turn, these cooperatives and municipals meet the energy needs of about 800,000 people. Safety is Dairyland’s top priority and our employees are our greatest assets. Dairyland is focused on sustainability and reliably transitioning to a lower carbon future. Dairyland’s generating resources currently include wind, solar, natural gas, coal, hydro and biogas. Electricity is delivered via 3,700+ miles of transmission lines to 400 distribution substations located throughout the system’s 44,500 square mile service area in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.
