IEDC Recertification

Your Mid America EDC membership can help you become re-certified with IEDC!

IEDC Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) recertification requires 12 credits to be obtained over a three-year re-certification period. These credits must be distributed between three levels as follows:

Level 1: 

Six credits required, nine-credit maximum.

Level 2: 

Two credits required, eight-credit maximum

Level 3: 

No credits required, four-credit maximum.

The non-specified four credits can be a from any level as long as you do not exceed the maximum number of credits per level. For more detailed information and stipulations, visit www.iedconline.org.


Earn Credits for Level One through Mid-America EDC 

Register and attend three Mid-America EDC webinars in one quarter and IEDC will recognize one Level 1 credit for CEcD recertification.

Earn Credits for Level Three through Mid-America EDC

You can earn one credit for any one of the following activities:

  • Speak at a Mid-America EDC conference
  • Hold a board member/committee position with Mid-America EDC 
  • Attend the Mid-America EDC Annual Conference
