The Mid-America EDC Leadership is pleased to announce that we are proceeding with planning for the in-person conference in Chicago!  Be assured that we proceed in our planning with a focus on health and safety for all and will continue to communicate all important health and safety related information that is related to this event. 

Registration for the conference, including the release of the full schedule of events, will open in late September, so be sure to look for more information in your inbox and at www.midamericaedc.org! For your calendar/schedule/flight planning, please note that the Conference will begin at the approximately 1:00 p.m. CT on December 1st and end at approximately Noon on December 3rd

Hotel Reservations & Parking:

A limited number of rooms are blocked for the nights of November 29 & 30, and December 1, 2, & 3 at the rate of $226 per night.  You may BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM before November 11th

Onsite valet parking is available at the rate of $71 per day.  Offsite parking is available at the rate of $51 per day.  Please contact the hotel with questions/to request more information. 

COVID-19 Protocol & Hotel Safety Information:

Mid-America EDC will follow CDC, state, and local guidelines, as well as facility-specific COVID-19 policies, for any in-person events to ensure the safety of all participants. The association will continue to monitor and assess the COVID-19 situation and make adjustments to our protocols. Final guidance related to COVID-19 and attending the 2021 Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum will be issued later this Fall.

Mid-America EDC is going virtual for the 2020 Mid-America Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum!  The virtual conference will be presented using the innovative Whova virtual conference platform - available digitally on a computer or mobile device near you!

While we all wish we could be together live and in-person, the conference committee is pleased to present this economical, comprehensive virtual option that we are sure will be a great educational opportunity to assist you in navigating economic development in today’s environment!

The virtual conference agenda is planned to accommodate the various time zones in the Mid-America EDC region, while also allowing time for attendees to visit our virtual exhibitors and connect with sponsors, presenters, and other attendees through the Whova platform.  Please note that ALL sessions will be recorded and available on-demand in the Whova platform after each session if you register but are unable to attend a session live. 

We are thrilled to have EIGHT site consultants joining us for three rounds of small group discussions on targeted, relevant topics this year!  And, be sure to grab a drink and a snack and join us for the “I Beat COVID Happy Hour” the evening of December 2nd.  This virtual networking/happy hour session will be interactive, while we hear your inspiring stories from this year!  Sign up with your registration to tell your uplifting story for your chance to win prizes!
